Üstel further stated that YDP’s declarations do not bind them, as the matter is an internal party issue. He reiterated that despite these developments, Erhan Arıklı continues to work with the government.

In his speech, Üstel highlighted the National Unity Party’s (UBP) successes since coming to power, asserting that they have been addressing and solving the country's problems. He pointed out that UBP has done everything that previous governments had planned but failed to execute.

Emphasizing that UBP’s main focus is to raise the welfare level of the people, Üstel mentioned the completion of the Güzelyurt Hospital, which had been pending since 2015. He noted that despite previous Health Ministers' efforts, it is under the current government that the hospital is being finished.

The Prime Minister also stressed that UBP had managed to bring VAT rates to zero during the pandemic in an effort to lower prices. However, he acknowledged that this had not had a significant benefit for consumers and indicated that adjustments would be made on this issue.

Regarding the cost of living, Üstel shared that discussions are ongoing with trade unions, and after these consultations, developments will be presented to the members of parliament.

On the topic of crossing points between the North and South, Üstel revealed that planning has been done for the opening of the Haspolat crossing, and if the South Cyprus government agrees, the project will proceed.
