According to a statement from KİEF, Bengihan explained that they sent a letter to Minister Gardiyanoğlu on October 31, 2024, requesting the recognition of KİEF’s representation rights under the 34/1993 Provident Fund Law. Bengihan further stated that, due to Gardiyanoğlu’s failure to respond within the legally prescribed timeframe set by the Good Governance Law, KİEF organized a protest press conference in front of the Ministry to explain the legal requirements and remind the Minister of his duties and responsibilities.

Bengihan remarked, "It seems we have failed to explain his administrative responsibilities well enough, as Gardiyanoğlu continues to act against the law and ignore our request." He also criticized the Minister for failing to take preventive measures against workplace accidents and neglecting the issues faced by the departments and units within the Ministry. He noted that Gardiyanoğlu had not responded to official correspondence and expressed that they no longer had any expectations from him regarding social security.

In his statement, Bengihan concluded, “As KİEF, we will continue with all forms of democratic actions and strikes in the departments affiliated with the Ministry of Labour and Social Security to ensure the laws are implemented, and we will also pursue legal action in this regard.”
