TDP's Agenda: Presidential Candidacy – Akıncı to Attend PM Meeting
The leader of the Social Democracy Party (TDP), Zeki Çeler, announced that former President Mustafa Akıncı will attend the party's upcoming Central Committee (PM) meeting today, where key decisions regarding the Presidential election will be disclosed. Çeler emphasized that the final decision will be made this evening.
Speaking on a program aired on BRT, Çeler provided important insights regarding the Presidential election.
"Akıncı to Attend PM Meeting at the Party's Request"
Çeler stated that crucial decisions would be made during the PM meeting scheduled for later today, and that the fourth President of Cyprus, Mustafa Akıncı, will attend the meeting at the party’s invitation. “We invited Mustafa Akıncı for a courtesy visit to discuss important issues, and thankfully, he accepted and will be joining our meeting,” Çeler said.
Highlighting TDP's readiness for the election process, Çeler reiterated that the party is always prepared to be a part of the government and the parliament. "We have accelerated our work, and there will be an extensive evaluation on the Presidential election during the PM meeting. We will announce our clear decision," he noted.
Çeler also mentioned that the pre-decisions made by the Central Executive Board (MYK) would be discussed at the meeting. “There is a process of about 9 months ahead of us, but the final decision will be made tonight,” he concluded.
