Traffic Inspections: 357 Drivers Reported, 1 Arrested
During traffic inspections conducted nationwide yesterday, a total of 2,260 drivers were checked, with 357 drivers reported for violations. Additionally, 28 vehicles were impounded, and one driver was arrested.
According to the Police Press Office, the traffic teams identified the following violations among the 357 drivers who were reported and subject to legal action:
- 145 drivers for speeding above the legal speed limit
- 51 drivers for using mobile phones while driving
- 27 drivers for not wearing seat belts
- 20 drivers for driving without a registration certificate
- 17 drivers for driving under the influence of alcohol
- 3 drivers for not obeying traffic lights
- 3 drivers for driving without insurance
- 1 driver for driving without a license
- 90 drivers for other traffic offenses
