Police Conduct Drug Operations, 6 Arrested

In Nicosia, at approximately 4:00 PM yesterday on Girne Avenue, officers from the Nicosia Police Department’s CÖŞ team stopped M.M. (28, male) who appeared suspicious. A search of his person revealed approximately 1 gram of drugs, as well as a glass pipe and a plastic straw, which are believed to contain drug residue. The items were taken as evidence, and M.M. was arrested.

Kalkanlı: Two Arrested for Drug Possession

In Kalkanlı, at approximately 8:00 PM yesterday, officers from the Güzelyurt Police Department conducted a search at the residence of B.B. (21, female) and E.Y. (25, male). During the search, around 1.5 grams of cannabis and a cigarette butt believed to contain cannabis residue were found as evidence. Later, a search at E.Y.'s residence in Kalkanlı uncovered a total of 10 grams of cannabis and 4 pills believed to contain MDMA, which were also seized as evidence. Both suspects were arrested.

Famagusta: One Arrested for Drug Possession

In Famagusta, at approximately 10:30 PM yesterday, police teams from both the Famagusta and Nicosia Police Departments conducted a search at the residence of Y.E.N. (32, male). During the search, a grinder containing approximately half a gram of cannabis was found and seized as evidence. The individual was arrested.

Two Arrested for Drug Dealing

In an operation conducted by the Narcotics and Smuggling Prevention Directorate at around 1:00 AM yesterday, H.S. (32, male) and M.E. (24, female) were arrested. A search of their vehicle and their residence revealed 38 grams of cocaine, as well as 16,150 Turkish Lira, 270 US Dollars, and 150 Euros in cash, believed to be proceeds from drug sales. The items were taken as evidence.
