Speaking at the Presidential Palace in Nicosia, Christodoulides stated that the package includes ideas discussed with the UN Secretary-General during their October meeting in New York. It addresses crossing points and other initiatives, such as the establishment of a consultative committee, a youth technical committee, and a truth commission.

Christodoulides noted that Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar was not ready to make decisions and requested more time. "Negotiators will continue discussions, and we will meet again when Tatar is ready," he said.

Emphasizing the comprehensive nature of the proposal, Christodoulides stated, "This package must be accepted in its entirety. It is for the benefit of both Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots. It is a 'take it or leave it' approach."

Crossing Points and Other Proposals

Addressing the Kiracıköy and Erenköy transit routes, Christodoulides mentioned that Tatar expressed a negative stance on these issues. "He only proposed a crossing point between Akıncılar and Limnia. While I am not opposed to this, Tatar was not in a position to make a decision. If he had been, we could have made further announcements," he explained.
