In a statement shared on his personal social media account, Erhürman addressed the issue of quorum in Parliament:

"YDP MPs did not attend the Parliament. The names of the MPs from the 'government' who either did not come or arrived late were read out from the podium. They tried again, but still could not open the session. The Parliament meeting was postponed for 24 hours. When we asked 'What's going on?' they said they were going to ensure discipline in the Parliament! By 'Parliament,' they naturally mean the MPs from the 'government' in the Parliament. The tragicomic situations during the election of the Parliament Speaker continue. Those who cannot govern themselves will govern the country! Those who cannot establish discipline within themselves will discipline the country, ensure security, conduct oversight, control prices, regulate traffic... This is the situation the country has fallen into because those who cannot even assert their will to say 'this government is finished' have led us here!"
