During the Parliamentary General Assembly, the Security Public Servants (Amendment) Bill and the Public Employees Monthly (Salary-Wages) and Other Allowances Regulation (Amendment) Bill were both approved.

UBP MP Emrah Yeşilırmak outlined the requests related to the Security Public Servants (Amendment) Bill and explained the changes made in the draft. Yeşilırmak expressed gratitude to the committee chair and members for their efforts.

CTP MP Devrim Barçın also took the floor regarding the bill. Barçın emphasized that the CTP had kept the Security Public Servants (Amendment) Bill on the agenda, fighting for its revision. He mentioned that, starting from January 1, 2025, employees in the 12th rank would move to the 13th rank.

He added that the bill also addressed rank and seniority hierarchy and provided additional increases for those transitioning to civil work positions. Barçın also highlighted that the scale system applied to contractual personnel in the public sector had not been followed, and noted that it was up to the Security Public Servants Committee (GKK) to determine the adjustment of these scales.

Barçın acknowledged that GKK had done commendable work to resolve existing anomalies and thanked those involved in the bill's development.

Finance Minister Özdemir Berova referred to the bill as an example of the government's fulfilling its promises and thanked the committee members. He stressed the importance of GKK for national defense and emphasized that the efforts made were not seen as a political tool.

Berova noted the intense and meticulous work behind the regulation's implementation and expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed. He reminded that the law was promised to be completed by January, and with its implementation on January 1, 2025, any benefits and differences from January would be paid out in February. Berova also highlighted that the rights obtained would apply to retired officers as well.

After the speeches, the bill was voted on article by article and, then, in its entirety, passing unanimously.
