Nicosia: Car Hits Motorcycle, Driver Injured

Yesterday, in Nicosia, a car collided with a motorcycle, resulting in the injury of the motorcycle driver. According to police reports, Kazım Özer (63) was driving a car with the license plate RJ 857 on Meltem Street. At the junction of Meltem Street, he entered the street without giving right of way to vehicles on the main road, causing the motorcycle driven by Muhammad Awais Khan (20) with the license plate UF 332 to collide with his car. The injured motorcycle driver was taken to Nicosia Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital, where he was treated for a fractured collarbone and is currently under observation in the orthopedic ward.

Kyrenia: Drunk Driver Arrested After Crash

Meanwhile, in Kyrenia, an intoxicated driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into steel barriers this morning. The incident occurred between the 1st and 2nd kilometers of the Kyrenia-Alsancak Bypass. Onur Eren Kalabalık (23), driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level of 97 milligrams, lost control of his car with the license plate SD 356 while driving towards Kyrenia and crashed into the steel barriers on the left side of the road. Fortunately, there were no injuries. The driver, Onur Eren Kalabalık, was arrested for driving under the influence and causing a traffic accident.
