Report Cards to be Distributed on Friday in Primary and Secondary Schools
Students studying in schools affiliated with the Department of Primary Education, the Department of General Secondary Education, and the Department of Vocational and Technical Education will receive their report cards on Friday.
The first term of the 2024-2025 academic year, which began on September 23, 2024, in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, is coming to an end.
Approximately 62,000 students studying in schools affiliated with the Department of Primary Education, the Department of General Secondary Education, and the Department of Vocational and Technical Education will receive their report cards on Friday, January 31.
The mid-term holiday will start on February 1 and will end on February 16. Students and teachers will resume classes on Monday, February 17, marking the beginning of the second term.
According to information obtained from the Ministry of National Education, approximately 28,000 students are studying in 128 schools affiliated with the Department of Primary Education, approximately 30,000 students in 48 schools affiliated with the Department of General Secondary Education, and approximately 4,000 vocational high school students in 13 schools affiliated with the Department of Vocational and Technical Education.
In addition, approximately 450 students are receiving education at Apprenticeship and Adult Education Centers, while 6,300 teachers are working in public and private schools across the TRNC.
Calendar
The mid-term holiday will start on Saturday, February 1, and will end on Sunday, February 16. The second term will begin on Monday, February 17. The 2024-2025 academic year will end on June 16.
The second stage of the College Entrance Exam (KGS-2) will be held on Saturday, June 14, while the Make-Up and Responsibility Exams will be held between June 17 and June 20.
The Bülent Ecevit Anatolian High School (BEAL) and the July 20 Science High School Placement Exam will be held on Saturday, June 21, while the Lefkoşa Anatolian Fine Arts High School Entrance Exam will be held between June 25 and June 27.
Additionally, applications for preference for Vocational High School programs by students who have completed the 8th grade will be accepted between June 18 and June 23, and those placed in the 9th grades of vocational high schools will be announced on Monday, June 23.
