Emre Okay, who had a pending arrest warrant for the crime committed in January 2008 in Nicosia, was detected and arrested while attempting to enter the country through Ercan Airport the previous day.

In court, the police officer presenting the case provided findings related to the incident. The police stated that suspect Emrah Okay was involved in the crimes of "forging documents and circulating forged documents."

The police noted that the suspect was detected and arrested while entering the TRNC through Ercan Airport the previous day, in accordance with the pending arrest warrant.

The police indicated that the investigation related to the matter is still ongoing, and the suspect has made statements that need to be verified and cross-checked. Therefore, they requested that the suspect be held in police custody for three days for the initial stage of the investigation.

The suspect's lawyer claimed that his client had been tried and acquitted in Turkey for the related crime. The police stated that both favorable and unfavorable facts for the suspect would be investigated, and communications would be conducted in this context, hence the requested time.

Evaluating the testimony presented before her, Judge Dilşah Karayel ordered that the suspect be held in police custody for three days for the purpose of the investigation.
