Turkey's Central Bank Reserves Hit Record High of $167.6 Billion

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey's total reserves reached an all-time high of $167.56 billion as of the week of January 24, an increase of $4.257 billion from the previous week. The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) announced its weekly money and banking statistics.

According to the data, as of January 24, the gross foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank increased by $2.537 billion to $99.328 billion. The gross foreign exchange reserves were at $96.791 billion on January 17.

During this period, gold reserves rose by $1.721 billion from $66.511 billion to $68.232 billion.

Thus, the Central Bank's total reserves increased by $4.257 billion from $163.303 billion to $167.560 billion in the week of January 24 compared to the previous week.
