According to Haravgi, Stefanu met with Alison Kemp, Head of the Eastern Mediterranean Desk at the UK Foreign Office, to discuss the latest developments in the Cyprus issue and the continuation of negotiations.

Stefanu informed Kemp about AKEL's positions on the Cyprus issue and stated that negotiations should resume from where they left off in Crans Montana.

Stefanu and Kemp discussed the shift of Turkey and the Turkish Cypriot leadership from a bi-communal and bi-zonal federation solution to advocating for a two-state solution, which they both deemed unacceptable.

Kemp reiterated the UK's support for a bi-communal and bi-zonal federation solution in Cyprus and expressed the UK's intention to closely follow the situation to help find a solution as a guarantor country.

The report also mentioned AKEL's efforts to create a positive agenda in Cyprus by releasing certain incentives and dynamics to pave the way for Turkey's return to the negotiating table.
