According to Politis newspaper, the threat message was sent a few days ago, and Hristodoulidis confirmed receiving the threat during the event on Saturday, but did not provide details about the content of the message.

The newspaper reported that the Greek Cypriot police are conducting a meticulous investigation to identify the person who sent the threat message to Hristodoulidis. Initially, the message was linked to a mobile phone found during a search at the Central Prison on Friday, but it was later determined that the message was not sent from this phone.

The report also mentioned that security measures for Hristodoulidis have been increased.

Meanwhile, Fileleftheros newspaper reported that a search was conducted in the cell of Simon Mistriel Aykut, CEO of Afik Group, who is detained in the Central Prison in connection with former Greek Cypriot properties in the TRNC. Some of Aykut's belongings were confiscated.

The newspaper noted that the search in the prison and the confiscation of some of Aykut's belongings around the time Hristodoulidis received the threat message raised questions.

Aykut's lawyer, Maria Neophytou, stated that a television and a notebook belonging to Aykut were confiscated by prison staff on Friday, and she has officially requested information from the Prison Directorate regarding this matter.
