Calls for Kudret Özersay to Attend Court: Fake Diploma and Corruption Investigation
As part of the ongoing investigation into fake diplomas and corruption at Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University (KSTBU), Serdal Gündüz, who is currently in prison as a "detained without conviction" inmate, has demanded that People's Party (HP) Leader Kudret Özersay appear in court. Gündüz expressed his trust in Özersay and hinted that he would provide more detailed explanations if Özersay attended.
In a statement on social media, Özersay confirmed that he would meet with Gündüz, stating, "If he has confessions involving politicians, we will listen to him to ensure he does not remain under pressure and that this process progresses transparently. We will inform the public in a way that does not influence the judicial process, ensuring nothing remains hidden."
Gündüz, who is being tried for the fake diploma case and claims he has been threatened, requested Özersay's presence in court for further clarification.
