The trial of Serdal Gündüz and Amir Shakerifard, who are under investigation in connection with the Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University (KSTU) case, was postponed to March 11.

The two suspects, along with assistant Berk Özbek, appeared in Nicosia before the Heavy Criminal Court today.
Defense lawyers Hasan Yücelen, Doğa Zeki, and Talat Tanca were present in court, where the judge decided to adjourn the case until March 11.
Attorney Doğa Zeki, representing Serdal Gündüz, informed the court that about 30 cases had been filed, and a case related to the fake diploma issue had also been submitted to the court.
Berk Özbek's attorney, Hasan Yücelen, noted that they were expecting additional charges to be brought against them.
Attorney Talat Tanca, representing Amir Shakerifard, discussed the "possible admission of guilt" and whether any further cases would be added to the proceedings.
The Heavy Criminal Court in Nicosia decided to defer the trial to Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
The suspects are facing charges including "Fraudulent Acquisition of Funds," "Fraud," "Forgery and Circulation of False Documents," "Fraudulent Accounting," "Money Laundering," "Forgery of Bank Payment Orders," and "Theft by an Employee."
