Driver Under the Influence of Alcohol, Caused an Accident!
On the Nicosia-Famagusta main road, a collision occurred between two vehicles due to Ismail Kılavuz, who was driving under the influence of 483 milligrams of alcohol. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
According to information provided by the Police Press Office, the accident occurred on February 9, 2025, around 8:30 PM on the Nicosia-Famagusta main road. Kılavuz, who was under the influence of alcohol, was driving a car with NT 404 license plates. Due to his carelessness, he crossed into the lane of Sultan Koç, who was driving the vehicle with US 110 license plates, and collided with the right side of Koç’s car.
Miraculously, no one was injured in the accident.
After the incident, Ismail Kılavuz was charged with the offenses of driving under the influence of alcohol and causing a traffic accident. The police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
