Maviş: Federation is the Only Path to Lasting Peace and Stability in Cyprus
Burak Maviş, General Secretary of the Cyprus Turkish Teachers' Trade Union (KTÖS), emphasized that a bi-zonal, bi-communal federation is essential for achieving lasting peace and stability in Cyprus.
In an interview with Eleni Konstantinou of Haravgi newspaper, Maviş highlighted the importance of opening new crossing points as a crucial step toward building trust between the two communities.
Stressing the responsibility of leaders in this process, Maviş stated that unions are ready to actively contribute. He reaffirmed the belief in peace and a resolution despite the ongoing uncertainty in negotiations.
