Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated, during a joint press conference with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, that "Pakistan fully supports the cause of Northern Cyprus and stands unwaveringly alongside Turkey in this matter." Erdoğan thanked Sharif for his statement.

In the joint press conference held after Sharif's meeting with President Erdoğan in Islamabad, the Pakistani Prime Minister expressed his country's strong and complete support for both Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Sharif emphasized that Pakistan has been a steadfast supporter of the Northern Cyprus cause, stating, "Pakistan is fully supporting the cause of Northern Cyprus and stands firmly with Turkey in this regard."
Sharif also highlighted Erdoğan's significance, referring to him as "a very important and highly respected leader of the Islamic world." He added, "Especially when it comes to the issues and rights of the people of Gaza, Palestine, or Kashmir, you have always led from the front."
Sharif further praised Erdoğan for his leadership, mentioning that "when you speak, not only millions in the Islamic world listen attentively, but your voice is also heard globally."
The Pakistani Prime Minister commended Erdoğan as a leader who has "transformed Turkey" and reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for Turkey’s position, particularly concerning the issue of Jammu and Kashmir.
Sharif recalled Pakistan's sacrifices in the fight against terrorism and thanked President Erdoğan for expressing solidarity with those who have lost their lives in this struggle.
Sharif reiterated Islamabad's "determination" to combat terrorist threats and urged neighboring Afghanistan to assist in fighting terrorism rather than spreading it.
