Ruşen Karakaya Announces: Indictment Issued, Public Officials to Stand Trial!
Ruşen Karakaya, President of the Champion Angels Foundation, has announced that the long-awaited indictment for the trial of public officials has been completed.
In a post on social media, Karakaya stated: "Finally, after months of waiting, they have written the indictment... Public officials will also stand trial! The ignorant and incompetent individuals who took our children, our loved ones from us—this will be your end!"
İsias Hotel Case
In the İsias Hotel trial, the court sentenced:
- Hotel owner Ahmet Bozkurt to 17 years and 17 months,
- Mehmet Fatih Bozkurt to 15 years, 28 months, and 28 days,
- Erdem Yıldız to 17 years, 17 months, and 7 days,
- Halil Bağcı to 7 years and 16 months,
- Mehmet Göncüoğlu to 7 years and 16 months,
- Hasan Arslan to 15 years, 16 months, and 20 days in prison.
Meanwhile, Efe Bozkurt, Seda Zeren, Şule Özbek, Bilge Açık, and Ulviye Bozkurt were acquitted.
The families of the Champion Angels are now preparing to appeal the decision following the release of the reasoned judgment.
