Midterm Break Ends: Schools Reopen on Monday

The 16-day February break is coming to an end, with schools set to reopen on Monday.

A total of 62,000 students—28,000 in primary schools, 30,000 in middle and high schools, and 4,000 in vocational schools—will return to classrooms as the school bell rings.

The 2024-25 academic year, which began on September 23, saw its first term conclude on January 31 with the distribution of report cards. The second term will run until June 16.

Additionally, 6,300 teachers from public and private schools will also resume classes alongside students on Monday.

According to the Ministry of National Education, approximately 28,000 students are enrolled in 128 schools under the Primary Education Department, 30,000 in 48 schools under the General Secondary Education Department, and 4,000 in 13 vocational high schools under the Vocational and Technical Education Department.

Meanwhile, around 450 students continue their studies at Apprenticeship and Adult Education Centers.
