Hit-and-Run Driver Identified and Arrested in Fatal Traffic Accident
The driver responsible for the hit-and-run accident on the Nicosia-Famagusta main road, which resulted in the death of pedestrian Buğra Kılıç, has been identified as Mehmet Kıstı and taken into custody.
The fatal accident occurred on February 18, 2025, on the Famagusta-Nicosia highway, where 32-year-old pedestrian Buğra Kılıç lost his life. The driver fled the scene without leaving any identifying information.
According to a police statement, the suspect, 47-year-old Mehmet Kıstı, was driving a vehicle with license plate JG 210 at the time of the incident. Authorities confirmed that Kıstı has been arrested and that the investigation is ongoing.
