"Hurricane Operation" by Narcotics Unit: 6 Kilograms of Drugs Seized
A large-scale anti-drug operation, codenamed "Hurricane," was carried out in Karşıyaka, resulting in the seizure of 6 kilograms and 330 grams of narcotics along with a substantial amount of cash. Three suspects were arrested.
According to a statement from the Police Press Office, the operation was conducted by the Narcotics and Anti-Smuggling Directorate on February 19, 2025.
During the raid, authorities found a total of 6 kilograms and 330 grams of drugs ready for sale, along with a precision scale and cash believed to be proceeds from drug sales. The seized money included 64,085 Turkish Lira, 540 US Dollars, 4,675 Euros, and 1,560 British Pounds.
The three suspects, identified as B.A. (30), M.A. (36), and A.A. (31), were taken into custody as the investigation continues.
