Meteorology Department Issues Storm Warning for Coastal Waters
The Meteorology Department has issued a storm warning, forecasting gale-force winds over the seas starting today at 5:00 PM and lasting until midnight on Friday.
According to the announcement, winds in the Taurus region will gradually strengthen from northern directions, reaching force 7 on the Beaufort scale, classified as "near-gale winds." From tomorrow morning, winds are expected to intensify further, occasionally reaching force 8, categorized as a full storm.
Authorities have urged maritime operators and the public to exercise caution.
