Atun: PM Üstel’s Absence from Parliament is Natural, Becasue He is Very Busy
UBP Parliamentary Group Leader Sunat Atun responded to criticism regarding Prime Minister Ünal Üstel’s absence from the Republic’s Assembly, stating, “The Prime Minister has a very busy schedule. It is natural that he cannot always attend Parliament.”
Addressing the concerns over Üstel’s absence from the General Assembly session, Atun emphasized that the Prime Minister’s workload prevents him from being present at all times.
"Prime Minister Üstel is extremely busy due to his responsibilities. He cannot always be here to answer deputies' questions," Atun stated.
Speaking on Kıbrıs Postası TV during the program Canan Onurer ile Sabah Haberleri, Atun addressed questions regarding the issue.
“If the Prime Minister is Absent, UBP Group Leaders Represent Him”
Atun explained that when Üstel is not in Parliament, the UBP’s parliamentary group leaders can represent him.
"As Group Leaders, Ahmet Savaşan and I are responsible for this duty. However, even we sometimes struggle to find time to meet with the Prime Minister due to his busy schedule," Atun added.
