Sertoğlu: Disciplinary Investigation into Miracle Değirmenlik SC Continues

Hasan Sertoğlu, President of the Cyprus Turkish Football Association (KTFF), stated that the match-fixing investigation involving Miracle Değirmenlik Sports Club is ongoing at the KTFF Disciplinary Committee, while the official inquiry regarding the club’s suspended membership is nearing completion. He added that the Disciplinary Committee would be briefed on the matter soon.

Addressing the controversy surrounding Miracle Değirmenlik SC, Sertoğlu emphasized that KTFF would exercise its authority to ensure the club operates in accordance with its own statutes and KTFF regulations. He made it clear that the club’s planned general assembly would not be recognized.
Sertoğlu highlighted that the match-fixing issue remains under the jurisdiction of the KTFF Disciplinary Committee. Meanwhile, an official investigation has confirmed that the club’s president and board of directors have been operating without proper authorization since 2022, violating club statutes. KTFF suspended the club’s membership on February 19, 2025, and disciplinary and legal inquiries into those responsible are nearing completion. The Disciplinary Committee is expected to be informed of the details shortly.
KTFF will also assess whether the club has been operating in compliance with its statutes and KTFF’s regulatory framework. A final decision will take into account the findings of an inspection conducted by the Nicosia District Office.
Sertoğlu asserted that multiple serious irregularities have been identified, stressing that knowingly assuming the club presidency in violation of statutes would have legal consequences. He reiterated that KTFF would proceed in line with its regulations while maintaining consultations with relevant authorities regarding the legal aspects of the case. Declaring that KTFF does not recognize the club’s planned general assembly, he underlined the association’s commitment to upholding football regulations and ethical standards.
