In an official statement, the Police General Directorate refuted the article titled "Deported with a PKK Slander," published on March 4, 2025, asserting that it does not reflect the truth. The statement clarified that the woman in question was sentenced to 16 days in prison by the Girne District Court for committing the offense of "Threat of Violence" in Karşıyaka on July 31, 2024. After serving her sentence, she was deported by the Immigration Department of the TRNC Ministry of Interior under the provisions of the Aliens and Immigration Law, Chapter 105, Articles 6(1)(d) and 14(1), and declared a prohibited immigrant.

Additionally, authorities discovered that the individual was wanted in Turkey for offenses including "Threat, Bribery, Fraud through Information Systems, Banks, or Credit Institutions." Consequently, she was sent to Turkey via the Girne Tourism Port on December 27, 2024.

The Police General Directorate emphasized that contrary to the claims in the report, the individual had no links to the PKK and that the deportation was carried out in full accordance with legal procedures.
