Letimbiotis: Goal Is to Resume Negotiations

Speaking to Politis radio, Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letimbiotis reaffirmed that the primary objective is to restart negotiations.

"We are aware of the challenges ahead, and we hear the statements from the other side daily. While we have not received positive signals, we also understand that public remarks alone will not determine the outcome," Letimbiotis stated.

He added that from the Greek Cypriot perspective, the realistic goal is for the five-party meeting to serve as a springboard for resuming negotiations.

Letimbiotis also noted that while there has been some movement on the issue, efforts should not only sustain but also strengthen this momentum.

In response to a question, he emphasized that their position remains clear and aligned with the UN framework, asserting that any discussions outside this framework would be unacceptable.
