February Inflation Rate Set at 2.16%

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) recorded a 2.16% increase on a monthly basis, while annual inflation reached 47.10%.

The highest price increase was observed in the education group. The CPI showed a 2.16% change compared to the previous month, a 4.21% change from December of the previous year, and a 47.10% change from the same month last year.

According to the information provided by the Statistics Institute, the highest increase among major expenditure groups was in education, which saw a rise of 6.22%, followed by various goods and services at 4.17%, healthcare at 3.50%, and housing expenses at 3.44%. The clothing and footwear group, however, experienced a 2.17% decrease.

In terms of price changes, the highest increases were observed in newspapers at 50.00%, prepaid mobile phone call rates at 40.55%, and water bills at 39.77%. The most significant price drops were in fresh peas at 28.98%, red cabbage at 27.95%, and lettuce at 26.84%.
