Fake Diploma Scandal: Parliament to Establish Special Committee

The investigation file prepared by the Attorney General’s Office has been submitted to Parliament, and a special committee is expected to be formed today in accordance with parliamentary regulations.

The alleged fake diploma scandal involving Ulusal Birlik Partisi (UBP) MP Emrah Yeşilırmak will be discussed in the Republican Assembly today. The process will be conducted under the framework of parliamentary procedures.
According to parliamentary regulations, a special committee must be established in such cases. Initially, the Advisory Board and the Presidential Council will convene to initiate the formation of the committee and determine party representation ratios.
Republican Assembly Speaker Ziya Öztürkler stated that the investigation file had been received from the Attorney General’s Office and that the process would proceed in line with parliamentary rules.
