Protests Against British Bases in Southern Cyprus

Greek Cypriot media reported that simultaneous demonstrations were held in Southern Cyprus and the United Kingdom to protest the use of British Bases in the region, particularly in military operations in Palestine.

According to Haravgi newspaper, protests took place at the Akrotiri Base in Southern Cyprus and outside the UK Ministry of Defence in London.
At the Akrotiri Base, around 100 demonstrators gathered, chanting slogans such as "UK-US: Bases Off Cyprus" and carrying banners reading "British Bases Out, Death Bases Out, Long Live Palestine," among others.
The newspaper also noted that speeches were delivered by Natalia Olivia, President of the "Genocide-Free Cyprus" organization, Fotini Haralambus on behalf of EDEN, and AKEL Press Spokesperson Yorgos Koukoumas.
