Stolen Ambulance Found in Karşıyaka: One Suspect Arrested

A parked ambulance at Dr. Akçiçek Hospital in Kyrenia was taken without authorization by an unidentified individual and driven away. Following a police pursuit, the vehicle was discovered abandoned in the Güzelyalı area of Karşıyaka, and one suspect was taken into custody.

The incident, which occurred at approximately 5:00 a.m., was reported by the Police Press Office. According to the statement, the RHA 4579-plated ambulance was unlawfully taken from the hospital parking lot. Upon receiving the report, traffic units from the Kyrenia Police Directorate initiated a search and located the vehicle abandoned in Karşıyaka’s Güzelyalı area.

The ensuing investigation identified the suspect as H.H.A. (male, 54), who had allegedly taken and driven the ambulance without permission from its rightful owner. He was subsequently arrested.

Authorities have confirmed that the investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
