Barış Sel, the Famagusta Police Director arrested in connection with the "fake diploma" investigation at the Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University (KSTU), appeared before the Nicosia District Court.
During the trial, Sel claimed, "This process is a conspiracy orchestrated by the Police Chief against me. Because I was the most suitable candidate for promotion to the position of Police Chief." The hearing was adjourned until 15:00 for a decision.
