During a court appearance, Police Officer Kazım Sevnç briefed the court on the details of the case. According to the police, the suspects met I.F. and her friend at an entertainment venue in Kyrenia on April 13, 2024. I.F. later went to the apartment where suspect Arzakçı resided with her friend. The police further stated that the suspects took I.F. to an apartment on Ömer Sami Coşar Street after claiming that her friend felt unwell.

Once inside the apartment, I.F. was allegedly taken to a bedroom by suspect Atan and pushed onto a bed. The police revealed that all five suspects then entered the room one after another and raped I.F. The police further stated that after the incident, I.F. confided in four of her female friends about what had happened.

Police Officer Sevnç reported that I.F. and her friends subsequently filed a complaint with the police. The police were able to locate the suspects' residence through the victim's mobile phone. The suspects were arrested as they were preparing to leave for Turkey. The police seized the suspects' mobile phones, which contained videos related to the incident.

Additionally, evidence from the bedroom, including bedsheets and five used condoms, was collected and sent to Turkey for further examination. The police also mentioned that during interrogation, suspect Atan claimed that I.F. willingly engaged in sexual activity with all five individuals.

The court granted a 7-day extension of the suspects' detention based on the ongoing investigation. The police confirmed that blood samples were sent for analysis, and the results showed no alcohol in the suspects' systems, while I.F. had a blood alcohol content of 52 promils. The defense's assertion that I.F. willingly engaged in sexual activity with five individuals will be investigated further. The court approved the police's request for a 7-day extension of the suspects' detention.
