He emphasized that there would be no stepping back from the new policy closely coordinated with the Republic of Turkey, and he would convey this once again to the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, whom he will meet this week.

Tatar stated that the negotiation process cannot be initiated unless the international equal status, sovereignty, and statehood of the Turkish Cypriot people are recognized. He highlighted that they would continue their efforts to increase the international visibility of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) based on their new political foundation.

Tatar expressed satisfaction with their representation of the Turkish Cypriot people during the summit in Gambia, describing it as a successful event. He thanked the President of Gambia and the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for the close interest shown. Tatar stressed the significance of the TRNC being an observer at the OIC, the second-largest organization after the UN, and highlighted their discussions on the unjust treatment, isolations, and Greek Cypriot pressures faced by the Turkish Cypriot people at the summit.

The president reiterated their call for support in lifting the isolation measures and emphasized their request for the development of relations in various fields, including culture, tourism, and education, alongside seeking support for the removal of inhumane embargoes.

Tatar expressed gratitude for the continuous support from the Republic of Turkey, emphasizing its assistance in increasing the TRNC's international presence and ensuring that all meetings are recorded. He regarded the visit as successful, stating that they effectively voiced the TRNC and its people's concerns during the meetings, including the inhumane attacks in Gaza.

Tatar extended an invitation to officials from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to the upcoming 50th anniversary celebrations of the Cyprus Peace Operation, expressing hope for an end to the suffering in Gaza soon. He reiterated their commitment to continue working towards the elevation of the TRNC's status and maintaining peace, stability, and security in the region.

Emphasizing that the target is the continuation of peace, Tatar stated that in Cyprus, a two-state solution is correct within the framework of the new policy. He assured that there would be no changes or backtracking in the new policy and reiterated their full alignment with Turkey in this process, indicating that negotiations could begin based on the new political foundation, as the federal solution has exhausted its course. Tatar reiterated that they would continue to convey this message to the UN and all relevant parties.
