KSTU Faces Backlash: "Perception Operation Misleads the Public"
A- A A+

Criticism has been directed at the university for conducting a perception operation through its press releases and trying to cover up the damage it has caused to higher education. The university's owner, Ece Uysal, wife of MHP Mersin Deputy Levent Uysal, along with the rector and board of trustees, are alleged to be trying to cover up their own responsibilities and oversight deficiencies.

The university's statements about supporting Turkish Cypriot higher education and restoring its reputation have sparked public outcry. Critics argue that extending a helping hand and offering advice to higher education while experiencing management weaknesses in their own university is insincere. The deficiencies and irresponsibilities in the management are highlighted as contributing to the problems, with Levent Uysal and the board of trustees being held responsible and needing to be prosecuted.

While the Turkish Cypriot public finds statements like "we are innocent and will support higher education" unreliable, they advocate for the owner of the university, Ece Uysal, and the university's executives to be tried alongside those implicated in the accusations.
