Accident on Nicosia Northern Bypass: 41-Year-Old Çelik Altıner Killed
In the early hours of the day, a traffic accident occurred on the Nicosia Northern Bypass, claiming the life of 41-year-old Çelik Altıner, a resident of Dikmen.
The accident happened at 01:30 when Altıner, driving his vehicle with license plate LK 659, was heading west at high speed and recklessly. Upon reaching the industrial roundabout, he lost control of the vehicle. The car veered off the road, hitting the curb stones of the median strip and then a traffic sign within the median. The uncontrolled vehicle continued to travel and eventually crashed into a concrete wall.
Çelik Altıner was pronounced dead at the scene.
The police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
