Ersin Tatar Attends Erdoğan's Speech in the US

Speaking at an event organized by the Turkish-American National Steering Committee (TASC) in New York, Erdoğan emphasized that "Global institutions have taken no effective steps to stop the oppression in Gaza and prevent Israel's massacre." The event, which brought Erdoğan together with representatives of the Turkish-American community, was also attended by First Lady Emine Erdoğan and President Ersin Tatar.

Erdoğan thanked TASC for hosting the event and praised the committee for promoting Turkey’s culture and values in the US, as well as protecting national interests through "citizen diplomacy." He congratulated Turkish entrepreneurs for their successes in the commercial and economic spheres, highlighting their contributions to Turkey's reputation abroad.

Erdoğan stressed the importance of unity within the Turkish community in advancing their interests at both local and federal levels. He pointed out that events like "Turkish Day Parades" and festivals organized across the US play a vital role in fostering ties with American friends and passing on national identity to younger generations. "We fully support integration, but we are equally opposed to assimilation," Erdoğan said, encouraging Turkish citizens to thrive in their communities without losing their cultural and religious identities.

Touching on Turkey's fight against terrorism, Erdoğan noted that Turkey is at the forefront of the battle against terror, both on the ground and diplomatically. He called on the Turkish community in the US to support efforts to combat groups like FETÖ and the PKK, stressing the threat these organizations pose not only to Turkey but also to Turkish expatriates and their business interests abroad. Erdoğan warned of the divisive tactics used by these groups and urged vigilance among the Turkish-American community. He assured that the fight against these organizations would continue within the bounds of the law, emphasizing the importance of protecting Turkey's democracy, unity, and peace.
