Tatar Arrives in New York for UN General Assembly Meetings
President of the TRNC, Ersin Tatar, has arrived in New York to participate in the 79th United Nations General Assembly. During his visit, President Tatar is scheduled to hold a series of meetings, including a bilateral discussion with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on September 28. He will also attend various events and give interviews to the press.
According to a statement from the presidency, Tatar is accompanied by Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu, Special Representative Güneş Onar, Legal Advisor Sülen Karabacak, Confidence Building Measures and Bilateral Technical Committees Coordinator Seniha Birand Çınar, and External Press Officer Kerem Haser.
President Tatar departed from Ercan Airport yesterday afternoon, traveling to New York via Istanbul. Before his departure, he also stopped in Ankara for a meeting with Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz.
