In an interview with Kıbrıs Postası, Ercüment mentioned that the district governor is scheduled to visit the area tomorrow and underscored the urgency of providing aid to those in need. "I hope the governor will come and assess the situation, and help impoverished families, as some have completely lost their homes. No aid has been provided to anyone due to natural disasters for many years. Those previously affected by other disasters sought help but received no response," he remarked.

Ercüment highlighted the ongoing struggles of the village, stating, "People are trying to recover; some have completely lost their homes. What will those in need do? Who will extend a helping hand to our people? I’m waiting. Best wishes to the people of Çayırova."

What Happened?

The tornado that struck Çayırova village yesterday caused significant damage in the area. Many roofs were damaged, and some were completely blown off. The flying roofs posed a dangerous situation as they fell onto electrical wires, and some solar panels on houses were severely damaged. The strong winds also affected the artificial turf field of Çayırova Primary School.
