The injured individual, Pınar Kaya, is currently receiving treatment at Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital.

The incident occurred on September 22, 2024, when Kaya, driving a vehicle with the license plate ZSY 167, failed to stop at the intersection of Bülent Ecevit Avenue and entered the main road, colliding with a truck driven by Salih Harmanlı, who was approaching from the right.

Police officer Ali Kiriş provided details in court, stating that Pınar Kaya, who was seated in the back of the vehicle, was transported to the hospital. After initial treatment, she underwent surgery for internal organ injuries and is currently in intensive care.

The police confirmed that Merve Kaya was arrested on the same day and that the investigation is ongoing. They noted that the nature of the charges may change depending on Pınar Kaya's health condition. The police also mentioned the need to obtain necessary statements and review security camera footage.

Judge Nuray Necdet approved the request for Merve Kaya to be held in custody for two days.
