Bus and Car Collision Injures Four, Including a Baby

A collision between a bus and a car on the Tatlısu-Kyrenia main road has left four people injured, including a four-month-old baby and a child. The accident occurred this morning at the three-way intersection on the Tatlısu-Kyrenia main road.

According to a statement from the Police Press Office, the incident took place around 8:30 AM when Erol Ergün (60), driving a bus with license plate TPF 315, failed to reduce speed and approached the intersection carelessly. At the same time, Gülistan Alaf (33), driving a car with license plate VJ 756, entered the main road from Geçitkale-Tatlısu without caution, blocking the bus's path and resulting in a collision.

The injured parties, including the driver of the car, Yüksel Alaf (53), baby Zeynep Umay Alan (4 months), and one-year-old Arven Alaf, were taken to Gazimağusa State Hospital for treatment and later discharged.

Drunk Driver Crashes into Hotel Wall, Arrested

In a separate incident, around 6:00 AM in Bafra, Ferhat Bilici (21), driving under the influence of 239 ml of alcohol, lost control of his vehicle (license plate FD 121) while heading west, crashing into the wall of Thalassa Beach Resort. Yusuf Oğul (21), a passenger in the car, was slightly injured and taken to Gazimağusa State Hospital, where he remains under observation. Bilici has been arrested as part of the ongoing investigation.
