He explained, "Despite all our good faith efforts and attempts, the situation has become unmanageable. As all costs in the sector rise in foreign currency, and with the minimum wage increased three times, the sector's burden has become unbearable. The transport sector is on the brink of collapse."

Topaloğlu highlighted that the transportation sector has not had a price adjustment for 16 months and criticized the Ministry of Public Works and Transport for failing to appoint an approval committee. He gave the government a one-week deadline to act and confirmed that, due to the current economic difficulties, the sector would halt all transportation, including tourism-related transport, unless a solution is found.

Pointing out that transport services have become increasingly expensive without corresponding price increases, Topaloğlu stated that the government has left the sector to fend for itself. He called for the immediate implementation of the necessary tariff adjustments and urged authorities to take action, warning that the crisis cannot continue.

Topaloğlu also emphasized that if a solution is not found, the country would face a significant social and economic crisis, stating, "We are on the brink of a societal crisis. The situation has become unsustainable."

He concluded by underlining the vital role of the transport sector, noting that it is a cornerstone of a country’s economic and social structure. "Transportation is essential for the uninterrupted flow of life, from production to consumption, trade to tourism. A functioning logistics network is crucial for both domestic and international trade," he said, urging officials to take swift action before the crisis worsens.
