Arıklı visited the Meteorology Department’s Ports Branch and the Postal Department’s Ports Branch at the Famagusta Port. He also inspected the storm-damaged historic pier and noted: "Many promises have been made to repair this pier in the past, but none were fulfilled. I cannot promise its repair given the ministry's budget constraints. However, with the cooperation of the Famagusta Mariners Association, Ports Department, and other stakeholders, we can restore this pier together."

Arıklı announced that a feasibility study will be conducted to determine the cost of rebuilding the pier, which will then be shared among stakeholders.

İskele-Çayırova Road Construction Progress

During his visit to İskele, Arıklı inspected the ongoing construction of the İskele-Çayırova road. He mentioned that work is continuing without interruption but noted delays caused by a court order regarding land expropriation on the route. Efforts are being made to resolve the issue to complete the project promptly.

Departmental Inspections and Meetings

Arıklı also visited and evaluated various departments, including the Ports Department, Vehicle Registration, Licensing and Inspection Branch, Telecommunications Department, and the Highways Department.

At the Famagusta TIR park, he assessed conditions for conducting driver’s license exams. Additionally, he met with Serhan Tekkan, Chairman of the Cyprus Turkish Dock Workers Company, during his inspections.

Arıklı was accompanied by senior officials, including the ministry’s director Mustafa Ambar and various departmental heads.
