Monthly Inflation at 0.78%, Annual Inflation at 59.88%
The Statistical Institute reported a 0.78% increase in monthly inflation, bringing the annual inflation rate to 59.88%. The highest monthly increase was observed in the Clothing and Footwear category, with a 9.98% rise.
The data also showed that 436 items saw price increases, while 130 items experienced price decreases. Significant increases were recorded in Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco (3.69%), Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages (2.83%), and Various Goods and Services (1.94%).
Other categories with price increases included Furniture, Household Equipment, and Routine Household Maintenance (1.80%), Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas, and Other Fuels (1.66%), Communications (0.94%), and Health (0.48%). Conversely, price decreases were noted in Restaurants and Hotels (-5.07%), Transport (-0.41%), and Education (-0.12%). No changes were observed in the Recreation and Culture category.
The largest price increases were seen in cucumbers (106.56%), newspapers (100%), and lottery tickets (87.50%), while the most significant decreases were in white cabbage (-55.50%), gollandro (-31.89%), and ferry tickets (-31.53%).
