Speaking to reporters following the inauguration of a memorial for missing persons and those who lost their lives in Lakadamia, Christodoulides addressed questions on recent developments regarding the conference. He indicated that discussions on convening such a conference might progress after the end of January, with February or March being likely timeframes.

Referring to his brief conversation with President Ersin Tatar during a UN-hosted reception, Christodoulides mentioned that specific dates for discussions on crossing points were conveyed through the United Nations in recent days.

While he noted there was nothing concrete to announce, Christodoulides emphasized the importance of holding discussions to assess the current state of affairs, understand disagreements, and explore ways to make progress. He reiterated that proposed dates for these discussions are set for January.
