EU Donates €2.6 Million to the Committee on Missing Persons
The European Union (EU) has donated €2.6 million to the Committee on Missing Persons (CMP).
According to a statement by the CMP, this contribution brings the EU’s total financial support to the committee since 2007 to €41.1 million, reaffirming the EU’s position as the largest financial backer of the CMP project.
The donation aims to assist the CMP in identifying the remains of missing persons, returning them to their families, and alleviating the uncertainty that has burdened families for decades. The committee’s efforts are expected to make significant progress toward these goals by 2025.
