Public Sector Minimum Wage Rises to 56,079 TL

As public discontent over incessant price hikes grows, the Statistics Institute announced a 4-month cost-of-living adjustment of 11.12%. Based on this figure, the minimum public sector salary is now calculated at 56,079 TL, while the President's salary reaches 243,204 TL.

Following the Statistics Institute’s announcement of an 11.12% cost-of-living increase for four months, the minimum public sector salary has risen to 56,079 TL, while the President’s salary now stands at 243,204 TL.

As of January 2025:

  • The minimum public sector salary is 56,079 TL.
  • Undersecretaries’ salaries are 151,087 TL.
  • Political appointee directors earn 126,395 TL.
  • The President receives the highest salary at 243,204 TL, followed by MPs with 211,613 TL.

If applied to the minimum wage, the cost-of-living adjustment would increase it to 39,180 TL, leaving public sector workers with the lowest salaries earning 43% more than minimum wage earners.
