Maviş: We Will Not Give Up on Demand for a Livable Wage
KTÖS Secretary-General Burak Maviş emphasized their commitment to fighting for a livable wage and called on all workers to stand in solidarity.
Criticizing the minimum wage increase for falling behind inflation, Maviş stated, “This effectively condemns workers to poverty. We demand a fair wage adjustment that protects workers' purchasing power. We will not accept a minimum wage dictated by employers' discretion and will fight to change this system.”
Maviş highlighted that all unions would support the protest organized by Hür-İş at 2:00 p.m. today in front of the Prime Minister’s Office. “We call on all workers to stand together in solidarity. We will never give up on our demand for a wage that ensures a dignified life,” he said.
The KTÖS Secretary-General reaffirmed the unions’ determination to protect workers’ rights and secure humane living conditions through collective struggle.
