President Ersin Tatar, is currently in Geneva ahead of the informal meeting set to take place tomorrow.

In the evening, Tatar attended a dinner held at the Intercontinental Hotel. When asked a question by a foreign journalist upon entering the hotel, he responded, "Let's forget the past and look to the future"

The Geneva talks are expected to begin tomorrow, with the Turkish Cypriot delegation maintaining its stance on sovereign equality.

Following the dinner, which was hosted by United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres as part of the informal Cyprus meeting, President Tatar made a brief statement to the press.

Describing the approximately one-and-a-half-hour dinner as productive, Tatar stated that the main discussions would take place tomorrow.

"Türkiye's support is important to us," President Tatar said, adding that he conveyed to Guterres the ongoing issues and challenges in Cyprus.

TATAR: THE MISSION OF THIS MEETING IS COOPERATION

He also mentioned that he urged Guterres to make greater efforts and emphasized the importance of cooperation.

Reiterating that cooperation is essential, Tatar stated, "The mission of this meeting is cooperation"

He further noted that he would be briefing political parties later tonight.
